I decided to paint the max yellow. Anyone have any pics of oem nissan yellow paint and the codes for them?

 

Why? There can't be a code for that. Then you'll look like a fake a$$ Sentra SE-R.

 

Sentra is the only nissan taht comes in yellow? I thought 350z, 300zx, silvia and skylines come in yellow too... Well the reason i picked yellow is because i wanted to be unique and plus all my friends cars are yellow too. And my last car was stolen so i would feel more secure if i had the only yellow maxima around.

 

a yellow maxima in bk. hmmm. but if u get any yellow, get the porsche yellow.

 

I don't know. I'm sure you've seen a black Maxima. That's the way they're supposed to be done.

If all your friends have yellow cars, how does painting your car yellow make it unique?

Anyways, if you need a code, just go to the dealer, or, go to a local automotive paint store, they will have a book that lists all the codes for all the car colors.

 

The maxima i bought is currently black but the paint is chipped and someone keyed 4 stripes from front to back of the drivers side. I only had the car for 4 days and this happened, what luck. Im planning on spending 2-2.5 grand on the paint job. Well, i guess i wont be the only yellow car but ill be one of the only yellow maximas.

 

also the Frontier and Xterra i believe...

thats what i would call an oximoron if i've ever seen one

paintscratch.com .....yellow sedans are ugly IMO and every yellow max i've seen (only pictures) don't look right. I'd say repaint your car black, but use the black that comes on the Infiniti QX56...it's a metalic black and its dope. And how is painting your car yellow gonna make it less likely to get stolen? if anything its going to stand out so much more to dirty thieves. Keep the yellow on riced out civics and keep it away from our classy 4 door sport sedans. Ultimately it's up to you though and this is just my opinion. Hope you get a good paint job man and post some pics when its done.

JJ, but really...yellow? I would love to have a black car!

Although, I do remember seeing an Orange max that looked surprisingly good, but it was pimp and heavily modified. Your call. But a few years from now...yellow? The only yellow on this site should be all those damn smilies.

 

i wouldnt steal a yellow car!! u steal that sh*t and the cops are after a yellow vehicle, doesnt matter wut type, ur bound to get caught. how many yellow maximas can be in one city?

 

the 350z does have a yellow color, i think its the aniversary edition. i seen it and its very nice, has a nice sparkle metalick flake look in it.

IMO yellow is a VERY VERY VERY hard color to pull off. and they only way to really pull it off is if your car is modded, meaning you have a body kit, a nice drop, nice rims, and a body/lip kit. if your car is on stock height, with stock or small ugly rims, and you have stock body then it will not come out nice at all.

my suggestion is get something more reasonable for what you have on your car, or wait till you car looks more tricked out befor adding a color like yellow or copper or electric blue.

 

I would hang on and make sure I really want this color. It may sound cool now, but what happens when your friends sell their car, change their colors, etc? Yellow, IMO, represents a sporty type of car. Remember, we still drive 4 door sedans.


After my neptune blue was vandalized, I went with black to "blend in" with everyone else. I did it out of fear that my car would be targeted again. I can't tell u how much i miss my previous color.

 

i would never get yellow. you will regret it in about a year.

 

Yeah it already has a stillen lip on it, and im purchasing the rest of the kit from an org member by this weekend. As for the drop i have to save up for, but i plan on getting that and some nice gunmetal rims; possibly rota subzeros. Oh, and i forgot to add that it has a cf hood on it already also.

My friends wrx has 4 doors too = ).

I appreciate all the advice. I still have till this weekend to decide, yellow isnt my only choice. I would either do yellow, repaint it black or crimson blaze

Where are you getting your paint job? I need new paint my self I usually hear prices like 3k for a repaint and 6k for a color change. I have a chips a hoy black paint now and I was looking into getting titanium gray if I ever get out of college.

 

yellow? the only yellow i dont mind having is the sunburst yellow type-r integra color sscheme. but on a max....? naw

 

6k for a paint job? wtf thats more than i bought the car for. I got the quote from a friend of the family.

 

please... not yellow. do neptune blue like Nismotic said. i loved they way his car looked. unique and outragous are to totally different things. i dont think ive seen a max thats been able to pull off yellow.

Does anyone know that link to the site with all kinds of max's and its organized by color? this would give him a good idea of some colors.

Please dont do yellow, your friends probubly drive integras and they call pull off yellow, other than that do a crazy cherryish red color , sunset orange, or even a daker orange , something uniqe but not taxi yellow....


If you wnat to do something drastic do the purpleish color that the older e36 m3s came in, i think it looks amazing and very diffrent, sounds gay but those that know m3's know what im talkin about.

 

Red, white, black, silver are good. I'm sure there are a few others, but I agree w/ everyone else. Yellow is so ...cheesy. Don't make the same bad decision your friends made!

i had a yellow jeep, and a yellow mustang...i would'nt even consider a yellow max...just does'nt fit the car.

 

yea im sorry but to be unique u could pick alot better colos, yellow is my fav color but not for my max, go with a candy apple red, pepsi blue, metallic black, **** even a light or dark green but stick with the basics
