Weird idle problem

Recently every now and then when i put my foot on the clutch and hold it the car idles at like 400-500 rpms and bounces between the two but pretty steady and when you push on the gas the rpms actually drop to like 100 then go up. Its like there is a delay from when the engine gets gas to when the air gets sucked in. any clues?

-there maybe and engagement issue. How old is your clutch?
-Maybe TPS?
-Are you giving enough gas when launching?

Was messing around with the tps didnt seem to make a diff. Clutch is 40k miles never gave me any issues with slippage. I just dont get how when i have my foot on the clutch and its idiling at 400 and then i just tap the gas to rev it with the clutch pedal still down or even if i leave car in neutral the rpms drop to like 50-100rpms real close to a stall

test the TPS, sounds like it might be your problem

There isnt any messing around with the TPS, its a sensor that controls Idle, check with a multimeter to see if its bad.

This issue only happens at idle I assume?

everything runs real good but as soon as push clutch in or shift into neutral it drops to 500 rpms and stays there steady doesnt move at all until i hit the gas. If i just tap the gas it doesnt drop at all just goes to like 2000 rpm but if i push the gas pedal hard it drops to 100-200 rpm. I just replaced the KS and my front 2 o2 sensors so didnt feel like doin any more on the car today but in the next couple days im gonna test the tps and maybe clean the throttle body

Didn't you just put a new engine in your car? Or was it a MEVI?

Pull your codes and see if theres anything related that could be wrong. You can take your TPS to AutoZone and they will test it for free. They have a machine they hook it up to.

it was a 20k engine and they said theres a chance extra external things could have been damaged in the shipping process. The only codes i were getting were the EGRC p1400 and the ks code and 02 code. There was a plug that i saw wasnt plugged in and i plugged that in and p1400 went away. Then put in the new KS that i just put in the old engine onto the new one and that code went away. Then replaced both front o2 sensors and that code went away so now i have no codes. The mevi is on but isnt working yet, i need to get the rpm switch for it.
