To those with airbag lights on...

Ive tried the method where you put the key to the on position and press the door sensor 7 or 10 times within 7 seconds. Well that never worked.

THEN i noticed in the FSM about the self diagnostic mode, and it says to press it 5 times. It gave it a try. It flashed for 3 second intervals, which meant (according the FSM) it was a stored code. After that I turned the key to theoff position and put it back to the ON and viola, no Airbag light. Anyone that has access to the FSM can do the self-diagnostic mode check like you can do with the ecu.

Always learning something new.

the method thats always worked for me (when the light was on in my gf's 99) was pressing it 10 times quickly, shutting the door, turning off the engine, and NOT TAKING THE KEY OUT. not taking the key out is important... then start her up and it was gone.. works every time for me.

not that it comes on often.. just when she adjusts the pass. seat..
