im planing to buy exhaust system, but i dont know which one.
i've heard a lot of good thinks about them (greddy sp2 and apexi ws2)
which one would you suggest, which one sound better and which will give more power if any.

The GReddy definitly sounds better in my opinion, but its by far to expensive. You can find a good catback for alot cheaper, but you get what you pay for usually.

i would suggest APEXI if u can find one......u could always have one made too and either buy a GReddy or APEXI muffler......a tuner shop that is ownd buy my buddies made me up an exhausr on my old maxima with mandrel u bends(stainless) and strait pipe also stainless....i bought a universal apexi muffler they welded everthing up with flanges and alll......overall with Hi-flow cat is cost me 350 bux.....somethign to think about....but if u want dolt on go Apexi----good luck

i know, but there is no muffler shop in chicago area which does mendrel bend pipes, thats why i want to get bolt on exhaust

Just pack sand in the pipes before you have them bend it. That should keep most of the kinks out of the pipe during bending.

buy some U-bends and them cut and weld.....the way i had it dont its great......i bought 3 U-bends (mandrel) cut them appropriately and bump up the end so it slides a litter over the strait pipe...then i nice weld around....ill get pictures to show....doesnt hurt to ask if they will do that

i love the way greddy sound. greddy sp2 is on backorder i order it about 1 1/2 month ago and they still sayin that its going to take them another month.

www.hopupracing.com has the GReddy SP2 for 470 with free shipping. i couldnt find the Apexi WS anywhere. be careful where u buy. i asked numerous places that listed the WS and when you ask its just the muffler. Be sure you ask and double check what you are buying. but i recommend hopupracing. has great customer service and ships FAST.

I ordered the WS from ProSteetOnline in July and they delayed it and delayed it intill Augest. they wouldnt refund my money and i had to call visa to fill a report. finally got the money after visa threatened then. i dont know about any1 elses experience with Pro street online but mine wasnt very good.

my mistake, i paid about $189.99 just for the muffler

prob planning on buying a warpspeed b later on for $170

thats a $135 diff between the 97-99 greddy and the apexiws2 exhaust + warspeed b

i guess the most diffucult part is that the correct size o2 bung needs to be welded on the b pipe, which is no big deal. besides that it seems like a 100% bolt on

probably the 97-99 greddy sp2 has the correct size o2 bung. just from reading around a bit it seems like the length of the 95-96 greedy sp2 fits the exhaust cutout on the 97-99 bumper flush just like the oem. apparently the 97-99 designed sp2 sticks out farther.

i ordered a 95-96 sp2 for my 99 se from steve at sportcompactonly for $475 shipped. i should be recieving it friday sep. 23 and will be installing it within a few weeks.got kind of sick of waiting for the 97-99 version that nobody has and is always on backorder. my car and o2 setup is identical to the one pictured in the thread. it seems to fit that car perfect, so really i dont see any reason why it woulld not fit my 99 perfect

I believe the apexi is a bit too quiet for my taste; its a step up from oem. I have the greddy sp2 and it sounds great.
