Throttle Issues
Throttle Issues
I went to go to the grocery store for my mom real quick a couple minutes ago, and the car drove fine. However, everytime I gave it throttle I heard the faintest of scraping sounds. Only when I completely let off and then gave it throttle again, though. Increases in throttle made no noise, and even when it did make noise it was gone almost instantly.
So I figure the throttle cable must be scraping on something. I get home, pop the hood, and check for what it could be. Looks completely normal. So I look in the footwell, play with the gas pedal a little...can't find anything wrong. When I push on the throttle with the car off, it doesn't make the noise.
It doesn't appear to be a serious problem, just kind of concerns me a little. What could this possibly be?

Just curious...how would they cause this scraping sound?...and why would it only last a split second? (I can understand why it would only be when I began to give it throttle)
