brake question

Need to replace front pads / rotors was curious of what the best combination is for the max. I have read the hawk plus pads are recommended, let me know what you guys think. I was told by a friend that brembo blanks and hawk pads would be a good combo. What do you guys think of getting slotted or drilled for the max? Is it overkill and a waste of money? I do a lot of highway driving back and forth 300+ miles twice a month. Let me know what you recommend, blanks, drilled, or slotted??? And any other pads you recommend besides hawk, unless they are the best. Thanks

there are a gazillion threads on this topic, but in a nutshell:
1. unless you are an extremely serious racer/autocrosser, slotted or drilled rotors are for show only. blanks are the way to go.
2. hawks and brembo blanks are probably a good combo, but you could just as easily go OEM for both and enjoy very good stopping power, low noise, and not a heck of a lot of brake dust.
go back a couple of pages for tons more info.
