electical issues

ok well last week i wsa having a problem with my voltage dropping to 12.1 when my RPMS were above 2100 rpm. I have a 200 amp high output alternator from can-am motors which was somehow grounding out the power wire which leads to the battery. i shipped it out to can-am to have it checked out and they said that it was fine. what would cause this voltage drop? could there be some sort of fail safe resistor that is blown or a fuse that could possibly be blown? the 200 amp fuse that i had as a fuse did blow but it but is must have been a little bit before it actually blew cause the power wire was basically welded to the alternator. can someone PLEASE help me i cant be without my car for any longer than i have and this needs to get taken care of and im totally out of options for this.
