Looking for smooth Idle

Looking for smooth Idle

my '98 maxima keeps shaking all time. not that hard of a shake, but still shakes a little bit when i'm on park,drive, or neutral. not that much on neutral, but still a little noticeable. i just got a tune-up so that can't be it. i know there could be many things that make the car shake, but just to narrow down on what it could be, it starts shaking after it warms up. meaning if i just started the car it wouldn't shake until it went well under 1000 rpm (when it starts it's usually a little over) and the temperature of the car went well over "C". please help me out, i don't want to feel any vibration on my brake pedal or my steering wheel when im idle on drive, neutral or park. thank you!

start with cleaning your throttle body

Right on. I, like many of us had this problem. Those pages are great. My idle is nice and smooth now.

lol cleaned mine out last weekend (had high idle problems before that) and I'm having this problem since then. Idle is fine is neutral (~750) but goes down to 600-700 in drive and car starts hesitating - will have to check for air leaks tomorrow

im trying to clean my own throttle body as it guides you on:

but im having trouble performing the step on the 4th picture. which is removing the small black rubber hose. it doesn't remove that easily.i tried it as hard as i could. please tell me how i can disconnect it.

it looks like the hose is ripping because of how roughly i am trying to disconnect it. there must be some special tool to do it with

Slide the metal coupler ring off and it should slide off, I hope you did that first

there is no metal coupler ring on that one. its not the large one, it's the small one next to it im trying to disconnect and like i said there is no metal ring, but it still will not slide off

Or just clean the grounds on the LIM.
