Defibrillators?

My girlfirend and I were sitting in my car, for like two hours with just the fans on (the key was in the "on" position so the engine couldn't turn the alternator) Needless to say, my battery was drained. My friend in his Honda Civic SI jumped my car, but his Honda battery didn't have the terminals labeled (or so he said) So I had my cables hooked up right but I had the negative cable unhooked until he had both on. When I touched the cable to the terminal, a big theatrical spark came out. I thought that the battery was that drained because the terminal sparks sometimes when it's really low. I did it again, I got zapped, then finally I told that retard to switch the poles. I was driving today and all of a sudden my check engine light went off. My tachometer was working and eveything. Could this be a remedy or the calm before the storm?

Do I really need to get into detail? Think why we had the fans on for two hours.

I miss farting for two hours in the back seat.

I was so much more fun when it's something you're not supposed to be doing.

There's no check engine light though. Could it be a possibility that, that little jolt helped?

The Tach broke again, I don't really need it though. That has nothing to do with it though. If anything happens I'm calling my friend over to bring the "Crash Cart." Thanks guys.

Even without markings on the battery, it is easy to tell which terminal is positive and which is negative. Your friend wasn't the only retard.

If he told you before connecting the cables that he didn't know which terminal was which and you still didn't check his handiwork, then your bad. If he didn't say anything until after the shock, then don't let your friend touch your car again! Car batteries are dangerous...haha

Aha! So after your first shock, he told you he didn't know which terminal was which, and you still tried hooking up the jumper cable without checking his handiwork, thus the second shock. The facts speak for themselves...=)

Getting back to the topic, just reset the ECU to see if there is a problem?

I used to just crack my windows.

Then again we used to fart in the car every night. Getting stuck every night would get pretty old.

Even with the gas prices, it would have beed cheaper to run the engine & the ac than what you may end up fixing. Or even better, a cheap sleezy motel. Get one with a kichenette and ESPN. You can watch Sports Center and get her to make you a sandwich afterwards.

if the car is running fine now then dont worry. Its not very smart to hook up battery terminals wrong...2 times...maybe you should have other people work on your car...haha

i dont think you can get shocked from a car battery. the battery is only 12v and are body can resist 24v? i think im not positively sure but i have touched both terminals at the same time and didnt feel squat.

Try this...bridge both terminals with a piece of metal while the battery is connected, then come back and tell us how you feel....

I've seen this before on our cars, worst case senerio is that you would blow the big fuse in 140amp? inside the engine on the driver side. That fuse protects the ecu from morons.

If it works, don't #@$% with it. Also it is best not to fart with the power on and the engine off.

Mental deficiencies are contagious. Don't play with electricity.

My point is, why would you think you'd get shocked if you touched the battery terminals with your fingers? I'm not understanding......

Not true. It is actually current that kills you. If you wire it straight to your heart, a AA battery could kill you.

Soooo...why is the title of this thread Defibrillators? It should be named 101 things that can go wrong when your girlfriend has gas.
