use a hammer...

haha im just kidding. to get the h/u out you need to remove the whole dash. first remove the trim around the shifter. This will expose the ash tray. the ash tray has 2 screw in it i believe.

then pop out the ac vent. lift from the bottom of the ac vent piece. it will pop out then slide out.

next there are 4 screw in the last piece. two on top to on the bottom. get a magnatized screw driver so you dont lose the screws. then it will slide out and tada. dont forget to remove the wires that are clipped to the back of the ac control and vents.

It should be 1 phillip screw holding in the ash tray.

just did mine last nite..its not hard...the trim for the shifter POPs off...the ash tray has one screw and clips in the back of it... there are four screws for the main peice..you must take the clock/hazard/rear defrost/vents out in one peace make sure to pop from the bottom going up...it workthe best after poping the bottom of that out...to take a flat head screw driver and push it directly into the middle at the top of the vent and it will pop out very easliy.

The rest is simple...i know some times the factry screws on the side of the deck are in there way to tight..so make sure not to strip...i had to drill mine out last nite..
