I just replaced my o2 sensor, wtf is 0505? How do I get rid of it? It just says "no problems" in the sticky!

Just reset your ECU and it may go away. It's probably just a ghost code.

Anyways, i reset it again. Hopefully, it will hold out and not cause a problem for my inspection. I think I've just been so frustrated w/ the check engine light for the whole life of my car that i freaked out when another code came on with no solution. Oh well, maybe I'll finally be rid of it, aside from the CEL light being burnt into my retinas by now.

I think I understand now. You had a check engine light, but the code read 0505?

Reset and see if it comes back after a few days of driving. It shouldnt cause a problem with inspections. If they scan for codes it would (assuming it does) pull back no problems.

it shouldnt, if your max throws a lot of codes, and acts funny all the time, you may have some serious problems on your hands.

ok, well, I should have been happy with the 0505 code, b/c I'm now getting 0503 (front O2 sensor). I replaced that one last year...can it become so quickly worn out?
