Hey everyone,
Maybe someone can help me. When im stopped at a light or something, and my car is in drive and im on the brake, a ticking sound starts. It sounds more like its coming from the inside front drivers side, than the outside. If i put the car in neutral it stops, or when i let go of the brake it stops. Does anyone know what this is?

that sounds like something serious, id actually look for a new 4th gen max ...lol, CMON MAN!, its a car, cars make noise...theres no problem, its just your car working like it should ... i have an auto and i have the same noise ... if the ticking noise didnt go away when you went into neutral, id say check your oil but since it goes away, your fine

 

mine is also an auto, its just such a ****ing annoying sound

sounds like it could be transmission related if you dont hear it in neutral. Whats your tranny fluid level?

 

Could be the brake check valve, it usually makes a small sound around the steering surround. I am 5MT not sure if there would be a difference . ..
