5th gen engine swap

does anyone know or has had it done that you can drop the 5th gen's 3.5 engine into a 4th gen, i know the 6 speed tranny would have to go in as well, but i think that would def be worth the engine swap, and extra 60 horses :-), i noticed on my brothers 02 maxima that the motor mounts seem to be in the exact same place as my 95, so we were wondering. please let us know

Got a year and a half worth of time to play with my 95, I put it out of commision, no matter what for mods, as that'll be the time I have use of another vechile. I guess I have to post more to post threads though, so, I'll just reply best I can for now.

If you figure out if it can be done, I have a friend in that runs a collage class, and would love to take on the project for ($) parts alone, so you know many photos / notes will be taken... That is if the mouts line up, you could end up thinking you put in enough work to slap a skyline engine in sideways by the time its done...

You can do it but the johnson rods need to be swapped. But why bother with a VQ35 when you can swap a 2JZ in for a couple hundreds

You will have to replace ALL of your exhaust bearings. I hope you calculated that in your estimate.
