0705 code, EVAP

This code can be caused by MANY things I read. What are the most common?

I THINK I had this code 6 moths ago. I went to the canister, which I think is behind the passenger side, rear wheel. I removed an electronic valve back there, used wd-40 on it because it was stuck, hooked it up to a 12 v power source to un-stick it, and replaced it.

Does that sound liek a possibility again? What was that piece I removed...I may just buy another one if I knwo its name....

Other ideas? (its not the gas cap)

the valve could be clogged also, it has 3 nipples on it and should be white thats how mine was you can check that make sure its not dirty. Also check the electrical connections again. I had this code and none of the above worked so ended up getting a new cansiter too the code went away for a week was able to pass inspections now its back on again for some damn reason it goes on and off so id say dont worry about it unless you need to pass an inspection.

I HATE THE F"ING CODE ....i have started aleast 12 threads here and other .orgs trying to find that problem....it started right after i did a TB Cleaning and sprayed some stuff in the flop, and as you can see the intake is connected directly the valves and then the canister ...the code came on once in a week then 2 in a month then everytime i filler her up.....finally i got it fixed....Knock on wood...i just found a friend that crashed his car, gave almost nothing for the part and the problem has been fix for about a month now, i replace the canister and any valve i can find back there.........

Can also be a poorly sealing gas cap.
