zMax additive package

I just bought a kit with the engine treatment, fuel treatment and transmission from zMax. Are these things reasonably good? Or are they a total waste of money? I normally wouldn't spend this much money at once for these "treatments" but my knock sensor is malfunctioning with the good ol' 0304 code. I did realize that my oil is considerably dirtier and it burned some oil away as well. Just wanted to make sure my Max can last a while longer.

Any comment would be much appreciated. I know a lot of you will just suggest that I go buy a bottle of Seafoam but it's not availiable in Canada. And I was using Mobil 1 SuperSyn 5W30, so it shouldn't be dirty this quickly.

Wasn't legal action taken against this company?
Return it!
Get some Techron, FP, LC, or AutoRX these seem to be the only things that actually do what they claim

Return the snake oil. Stick with known companies and products. Amsoil, Mobil 1, Chevron etc all make reputable products. That stuff is like Slick 50....anybody remember Slick 50 ??lol

Change out your KS, do a tune up and switch to a full synthetic oil.

They still sell Slick 50 products at AutoZone...I can't imagine how many people buy that stuff thinking it works.

My dad purchased the zMax Additive package about 2 years ago, put it in his pathfinder and did absolutely nothing, the engine didn't blow up like some cars did. We still have the Pathy and has over 220K miles with original engine and tranny, but trannys going out.

The thing about the Tornado is that they still advertise and are endorsed by the guys on Two Guys Garage. I used to respect that guy's knowledge, and I still watch the show, but I listen more carefully to everything now.

I hate 2 guys garage one of the worst automotive shows I have ever seen. Everytime I turn it on they seem to be stumbling around on what they are trying to do and appear to really not know what they are talking about.

Get rid of zMax immediately. Purchase some seafoam off of that website a few posts up.
