that makes me go hmmmmmmm. It seems every sterling mist Max that goes by makes me take notice. I can't put my finger on it, but I think the contrast on the SE's is what does it. With the little touches of black on the car it just seems more sexy. Don't get me wrong, I love my black Max, but that sterling just looks damn good to me. They also seem more squat and aggressive. I've passed a few lately that were stock and they don't seem to appear so 4x4. Anyone experiencing the same kind of dilusions?

sterling mist is nice, but I still would take a superblack (in mint condition) over it.

I agree about the Sterling mist thing.
I really like My QNO max, especially at night, but the Sterling Mist just looks sweet!

Take a look at the metal plate on your firewall. It's at the back of your engine bay on the passenger side of the car. It will list a bunch of things, including the color code. If it's KT3, you've got Sterling Mist However anyone can tell that from the picture, since that's the only "silver" color available on 99's. Take a look at my color charts on the FAQ page of my website, they'll answer all the questions you have about color.

I think it's the best stock color for the max + black leather. To bad when i was max shopping all the sterling mist maxes were out of budget for some reason.

I HAD a sterling mist, too bad it i destroyed it in an accident. Still hate myself for it, and probably will hate myself for it for a long time. It does look more aggressive from the front than other colors do. Me and another maxima buddy were looking at our cars front to front, he's got a pebble beige, and we both saw that the sterling mist looked a lot more aggressive/better from the front, but neither one could figure out why it was like that. The wheel gap comment is untrue, because my wheelgap looked enormous and no different than any other 4th gen.

I like the sterling mist but it always confuses me... I mean sometimes it looks silver and others it looks like brownish!! I can't figure it out! I have always wanted to have a platinum silver maxima. That would be so hot...

Over in Illinois, it seems that most of the beat up 4th gens are in the color sterling mist, making me hate it.

i love my QN0. There's something about a pearl white car that just looks better than the others inmy opinion. The birds also share my reasoning, that's why they bomb my car every chance they get.

**Sterling mist is a suttle color that gets less recognition than it deserves. Its a nice color, but I would stay KH3 or go back to my custom BS3(neptune blue)

I loved Nismotic old color, Neptune Blue.. I want to paint my car that color, but then if i sell it and the new owner wants to paint over something and they see FS0, there going to go put that color instead of the color i put on it. Unless you can get it etched out and put on the new color code... Can you?

you don't have to listen to everyone's suggestions. do whatever you want w/ your max. If people here on the .org told you to jump off a cliff, would you do it?

I didn't lower my Max because of how bad the roads are in my area

I think you misinterpreted what I said. I said it was the only silver color available on 99's, as in no other silver color was available that model year. I didn't say Sterling Mist wasn't used on other model years

oh there was already plans on lowering it...i dont mind an extra kick in the butt...always thought there was to much wheel gap...but the way it is sitting in that pic does make it look like its getting prepped for baja 1000 or somthing...

Of course you'd get sick of your PandaXpress maxima, too much MSG isn't good for you.
