electrical help please: changed foglight bulb-new bulb dosent work-how to fix?
hi all,
well I changed my fog light bulb today(98 max) and went to turn it on and it still dosent work, I tried 2 good bulbs..I dont have much experience in the eletrical area...anyone have this problem before?...how do I fix this please?? I wish it was a bad fuse but I dont think it is because my headlights and the other fog light work fine.. thanks for any help .. Rick

i am assuming that the other fog light works, so the fuse, switch and the relay are probably OK. check the plug on the wire harness that the pins are not pushed out or corroded or somehow damaged. then trace the wire harness backwards to a connector that is coming from the relay and splits the power to the 2 lamps.
if you have a volt meter, the orange with black stripe wire is 12 volts and the solid black wire is ground. with the lights on you should have 12 volts on the orange/blk wire. with the lights off, measure continuity of the solid black wire to the ground terminal of the battery. if you are absolutely sure that you have good bulbs, one of the wire tests will be bad and follow that wire backwards.
