Auto Climate control question

Hey someone was trying to sell me thier dash and they have an automatic climate control unit. I was wondering if I baught it from them, if it would work with my car that has an auto. I don't know if it is a plug and play with wire work or if there are other things that need to be installed. I don't even know if it's worth the trouble. Thanks for your input in advance.

I heard the auto climate control is insanely complicated so you might need to take it to the dealer or find some one with extremely amount of technical knowledge.

You said they have an auto and you also have an auto, so why do you think it wouldn't work? It'd be plug and play. That's unless you meant to say they have auto and you have manual. In that case you'll have some work to do. If I remember correctly it won't be plug and play and will likely be more work than it's worth

oh I'm sorry I didn't realize I said I have the auto, I have the manual. I know that a lot of our things are plug and play. It seems that the climate control is an exeption huh.

The climate control system should have nothing to do with what type of tranny you have. The stock wiring assy differences per sedan package (GLE, GXE, or SE) will have more of an impact on integration. If you are trying to integrate the climate control system on a car (GXE for example) that has not been configured from stock to carry this portion of the wiring harness, you may run into a few problems integrating such. Adding sensors, splicing, and other things may be in hand. I'm sure if you had the schematics for both wiring harnesses, you'd be able to find a solution.

Oh no I meant that I didn't have automatic climate control. I have manual climate control. Maybe I needed to clarify that. I have the GXE, but it seems to be a wierd 99.5 model. It seems prewired with the electronics package. ( Did the entering key rapidly thing). So I guess the only way to know if it would work is if I took the center control out huh.

It will not work. Do you have a sun sensor on you dash? This has been discussed before. Its not worth the trouble. Also what year is the climate control? the early 4th gen auto climates are different from the later 4th gen auto climates. The connections are very differnt

It won't be plug and play for sure. It is going to be more work then worth. I have the auto climate control and kinda wish I just had the manual.
