Fixing exhaust

I am getting my exhaust done tomorrow from the catback, because there is a hole in my b-pipe. Before anybody suggest a aftermarket cat-back I don't want to spend $500 on something that only gives 5 hp. The question is would my car still be quiet w/o the resonator with a stock muffler? Just wondering, so I can save weight and $80 for the resonator.

You'll need the res if you want a stock quiet ride - not sure how loud it gets with no res and stock muffler

How's your old res? Just have them reuse that...

My exhaust setup is quiet: WSP y-pipe, Budget b-pipe w/ res, and stock 5th gen muff (just have to take care of the y-pipe banging around prob)

I have the same issue and found the resonator assembly for $165 and the muffler for $121 both from Walker. It was on autopartswarehouse.com.
