Bit Of A Problem Here

Hey guys, i have a problem, I have a 92 max and it recently died, lost a cylinder and clutch went. So it has been sitting in the parkin lot at my aparment for a few months, the problem is that they gave us a notice today that they will be paving that lot tommorow. So i go outside to see if i can push it and nothing. Had it in neutra, no ebrake on, keys in, i tried everything. I don't know if the brake is engaged somehow or the tranny is the source of this, but what do i do? Its 1 am right now and they want it moved by like 7 am, any ideas at all? I have a jeep i could try to maybe pull it with, but i dont really have a hitch or chain or anything and i dont know how i'd even control it to move it anywhere.... HELP!!!

Try having your whole family push it. If not, call a tow truck. No other solution...

well in that case i dunno... don't try the jeep unless u got a lot of towing capacity cuz if the wheels are locked up u'll mess up the jeep cuz its gonna be the equivalent of towing double the weight. if its the tranny then only the front wheels are gonna be locked up so if u lift it u can tow it from the front. if its the breaks ur screwed.

Well it sounds like it's stuck in gear, which is why it won't move. SO if you can get it out of gear by gently rocking the car back and forth till it lets you shift out of gear, you may then be able to move it.

Donate the car to charity and write it off on your taxes. They will come and pick up the car no matter what.

I replied to your thread offering to possibly fix the maxima for you in return for the jeep as a trade. You only live like 25 minutes from me so you're pretty close. I'm from Upton but I work in Franklin. My guess is it's just your brakes that are frozen (especially if the car has been sitting for a while). This happened to a Blazer I worked on today and it took 6 of us to break the damn thing loose. Once it was rolling it was easy as cake though. If you can't figure out what the problem is jack the car up, remove the wheels, and take off all the calipers so you can eliminate the brakes as the culprit. If you still can't push the car then you know it's a tranny issue. If you want help to make the process go more quickly I have a jack, jack stands, and air tools
