valve body question

READ THE STICKIES. Its a modification of your trasnmission, Its not something you buy and install. Theres a place in NY that does it that has a website but I just cant think of the name right now.

Your going to have to find someone else to do it. I'm not sure but I would think just about any transmission shop could do it but I would just call around to some places. I've heard prices around $300-$400.

300-400$
...
Shouldn't be more than 90$, or an hour or 2 of your time at home .. get a haynes or read the stickys(5th gen stickys have a good write-up) Same as changing fluid out with a few more bolts ...

You send it to maximum tuning .. they modify it .. you put the modified one in, same as a 'replacement' hence its place in the haynes manual.

Ok here is the deal.
Maximum Tuning sells them already modified for $600. There is a $200 core charge in that price. So that being said the final price would be $400 after you return a stock valve body to them. Then you need to get it installed. Prices vary from $50 - $100. Good luck hunting.

Not worth the price ... DR mod is better if you can do a WOT switch
I have a stage II.5 on my 03 and DR mod on my 95 .. 95 doesn't have enough power to justify it(VB mod $).
Extended rev limtier helps more(w/VI of course) since you can shift later in the rev range and be ain a beefier spot when entering next gear... if stock limiter is used, you end up in a dead spot in the 1-2 shift w/ DR/VB .. do NOT ask about the DR mod... better yet check the stickys.

i want to get this done but 400dollars for .1 second gain? is it really worth it in your opinion?

I didnt buy it for the track. I bought it because I have a Vq35 and want to do everything possible to extend the life of my transmission. If I was at the track I would say that it would be worth it. .1 of a second is a alright gain for one modification plus it extends the life of the transmission that you are beating on. But then again, I dont like to comprimise on what I put into my car. Id rather spend a little more money to have quality stuff.
