Exhaust Pipe Diameter...
What's the diameter of the stock exhaust pipes of a 4th gen Max after the cat?
I was just wondering... if the y-pipe dumps into a 2.5" flange... and the cat's only 2", isnt' there a restriction? Thanks.

From the threads, it looks that 2.25 to 2.5 is optimal for a normally aspirated Max. But I was wondering as to the gains as well, since in most of these, people are changing different components with different. I tried to measure the pipe at the flange for my stock muffler, but can't tell if it's 2", 2 1/8" or 2 1/4" because I don't know if I should be measuring the outside diameter, inside diameter, etc... Thanks.
