hows the quality of the KYB strut mounts?

I was all excited about buying the KYB strut mounts from the GD section because of the price and the fact that i was told they come with bearings. then i read the maxima handling guide and it didn't speak kindly of the kyb mounts. anybody have any comments? they seem like a bargain compared to the $46 ea for mounts and $37 ea for bearings from nissan.

Given that your factory mounts may have lasted close to 10 years, it's probably worth the extra $$$ to buy the Nissan parts... cost is not always king ... at least for me. Bearings are more like $20-25 each... check www.pinnaclenissan.com or www.courtesyparts.com.

OEM is ALWAYS BETTER ... everything from your starter, alternator, exhaust, interior pieces .... ive learned this to be the most important .... OEM most of the time is the way to go....oem is just made much better than all the pepboys, autozone, advance parts CRAP.... some of the aftermarket stuff is ok but usually its poor quality and poor fitment ..... oem strut mounts are the way to go, or for a few more hundred, you can get the tein basics which come with strut mounts

It's what allows the spring/strut assembly to rotate when you steer. The bearing sits on top of the strut assembly.

Strut Bearing is the correct part name. It didn't show up for me on one of the Nissan online catalogs either - so you might have to call them directly.
