The fan will be on if your A/C is on...

Did you bleed all the air out of the cooling system? I don't know how accurate the temp gauge is in our cars. Even on the hottest day, my gauge goes to the middle and doesn't move once it gets there....By the same token, my fans didn't seem to act any differently when I changed my t'stat, but the heat does take a little longer to come on when it's cold, even after I got the air out of the system...

Yes - because defrost turns on the A/C

If you use auto climate control, the compressor runs all the time if it's above freezing.

Compressor on = fans on.

I have every thing off ( a/c, defrost) How do you know if you didn"t get all the air out? All i did was drain the coolant from the bottem and put new coolant in. i poured in the coolant in slowly so i wouldnt get any air.

wait till its cool, take off the the Rad cap, start the engine, and sit there for 5 minutes making sure that when bubbles come to the top you add more coolant/water. thats what i do.then shut it off and put the cap back on

there are 2 temp sensors, one for the gauge and one to the ecu which controls the fans. if indeed the car is running fine, and the temp gauge works, then the temp sensor for the ecu could be broken.

you mean your fan is on even when your car is turned off?

is so then look at your relays under the hood...the one for the fan is brown if memory serves...and if it's really really hot to the touch then it's bad...take it out and smell if it's burnt up...

but if you mean the fan only stays on when the car is on...then take the suggestions from those above...

prolly the coolant temp sensor....very easy to test if you have a multimeter...very easy to change as well...look in the FSM or chiltons/haynes
