HELP! replacing bulb on auto climate control

the bulb on my auto climate control went out and i was wondering if there is a write-up on replacing it, or if anyone has a part number on the bulb itself so i can get it through autozone or something. Thanks!

My climate control bulbs went out a while ago too. I tried to get the bulbs from somewhere other than the dealership, but couldn't. The dealership has them for a high price of about 4 bucks a piece. I wish i still had the part number, but i don't.

Good luck.

Get the bulbs from an online dealer (jerry rome, etc.) 3 bucks a piece. To replace, followi the car stereo removal directions at www.carstereohelp.com - once you have the hvac control unit out, and see the replacement bulb/housing, the swap should be self-explanatory.

Some have chosen to use LEDs instead of the bulbs due to the relatively high cost. For me, spending 12 bucks for 4 bulbs that lasted 10 yrs was worth it.

Part number is 28529-0P000

I just did mine yesterday, its $3 a bulb and shipping is a killer, but its worth it if you ask me. All you have to do is look on the back of the climate control unit, you'll see them, when you screw them in just make sure you line up with the mark. ALso order an extra bulb incase, they sent me 3 working ones and 1 smashed one, so now all the buttons light up except one but i plan on getting another bulb next time i order from them. Good luck!

depending on how many bulbs you need, it might actually be cheaper to buy another unit on ebay! i've seen 'em go for as little as $11 shipped.
