Steering fluid and automatic tranny and clicking
ok i woke up this morning and i was turning the wheel and heard like "CLICKING" behind the airbag, i know my driver axle is bad the sound was not comming from there ....then later in the day the noise stopped
...Can someone tell me how the noise start and stop?
then i looked at the steering fluid and the fluid level is ok , Is the fluid suppose to be black? and i realize that the hose below goes to the radiator and return back to the back of the engine
.....my question is
what is the noise i am hearing behind the air bag for a short period of time when i turn?
is the fluid suppose to be black?
does the tranny fluid mix with the black steering fluid because the line in front of the radiator return to the steering fluid bank?

don't know if it applies, but if you turn your steering wheel to either lock positions and hear clicking, it's most likely that your steering rack are on it's way out
and no, power steering shouldn't be black in color, it should be honey colored ( think motor oil), but should be ok. If you are that worried about it, try the turkey baster trick where you use a turkey baster to suck out the fluid from the resevoir and fill it with new fluid and repeat several times.
