Cleaned my IACV
So, Since I've been on vacation this week I decided To be constructive and work on my max. Earlier this week I cleaned out the TB, Today it was the IACV. I did take some pics of the IACV if someone could tall me where and how to post them, they are large pics and a little blurry due to my unsteady hand. I was also going to do the EGR and even bought the gaskets from the dealer to do so. But when I got under the hood I saw that the EGR on my 99 with Cal/NLEV emmisions was electronic, and burried under the throttle body. altho I did buy the TB gasket as well, It was more work than I had the time for today. After disasembeling the IACV from the UIM I noticed quite a large chunk of carbon build up on the UIM. I wish I could post the pic with this. So I cleaned it all up, disasembled the IACV from its housing and wasn't suprised at the carbon in there. Needless to say, it's all cleaned up, I know how to do it again if I need to, and the car has a very smooth idle now. Thanks maxima.org for all the write ups. Oh yeah, I found my haynes manual, Thats the only reason I was holding off on doing this.
