what are aggressive shocks & tires?

I am looking into changing my current shocks and tires soon. The car sits a bit too high right now and I don't want to drop it with springs... I want to stiffen up the suspension a bit, so which shocks will give me an aggressive ride? Also, what the most popular all weather tire for this car?

Thanks.

illuminas...or KYB AGX....and usually all season tires wont help to much.....typically summer tires only are better for handling.....but maybe someone else wil chime in

I hear/feel a rattle and looseness in the front shocks/wheels when i go over bumps. How loose is the OEM maxima suspension? Haven't driven another and mine can definately use some stiffness..

And yea, I've heard that Tokico Illuminas are nice shocks

Check your strut mounts. Open your hood and make the car bounce up and down. Can't miss them, they have the top of the strut bolt sticking out of them. Those puppies should not have much movement.

maxmods.dyndns.org/ for the suspension question.
If you want to stiffen up the ride without lowering it, get some shocks, rear sway bar, and some strut bars.
For the tires- go to tirerack.com
Or just do a google search... there are way too many tires on the market for .org input to give a "good" answer.
My input- I've had kumho ecsta ASX's, they were ultra high performance all season tires... they held up very well, and had good handling characteristics, but still, as maximase96 said, you won't get the same performance as a summer tire will give you.

Check out www.edgeracing.com for tires. I got Proxes 4s from there and for my next set I am gonna try Falken Ziex 512
they are only $68 bucks a tire there and supposed to pretty much as good as proxes and last a little longer
(I like my Proxes but they sure have worn fast...)

I second the first reply on the Toyo Proxes 4's. I'm running 235/40/18's, and they feel great! I haven't had summer only tires, so I cannot comment on them, but for an ultra high performance all-season tire these things are awesome. They perform like they're glued to the road.
