tire pressure

Geez, nice board! Lots of changes since I was last here.
What's the recommended tire pressure when a RSB is installed? Default is 32/29, I think but should that go to like 32/32 now? (97 SE with Dunlop SP5000's - 225/55-16)
Off topic, the SP5000's are great. They stick like glue.

The car normally understeers like any nose-heavy FWD car does because it has comparatively more traction in the rear than the front, so you add the RSB to stiffen up the rear beam which in essence doesn't let the beam flex/bend as much in turns and actually lifts the inside tire in some aggressive turns, thereby reducing traction in the rear.
This reduction of traction in the rear of the car gives it a more balanced feeling when trying to turn, but at the same time it is increasing the car's tendency to spin out (also known as oversteer).
As far as setting up the tire pressures, try to keep the rears inflated about 3PSI less than the fronts to try to maintain the car's balance.
You may have to experiment some with your particular application to get a satisfactory result. But I would recommend you start around 35front/32rear and go from there.

Yes I do have the RSB. I always thought the higher pressure in the front was to compensate for the fact that the Maxima is weight biased towards the front. Save for BMWs (which have 50/50 balance) and mid or rear engined vehicles, I have never seen tire pressure recommendations where the rears are higher than the front.
