rsx is not true. gets 6.6 just like stock 95/96 5spd. and cus its a 4 cyl. it would lose on any long race.

an 02' tl-s though gets 6.0 flat and thats with an auto trans. you would lose big time
edit: i now see that he has 98. you would get owned by all

This thread makes me want to sell my Max.. Not as if I didn't already know all of this, but to actually see it coming from other people - yeah, not cool.

With all the time and money put into the max, I would rather boost it than get a new car, especially since matty and mingo have basically paved the way if you want to go sc or tc. Get it to around 300hp-350hp+, the max is still an enjoyable drive.

tl-s are about 6.8-7secs 0-60, and they come with really skinny tires. u shouldnt have any problem with them. ive had a few run-ins with them. never had a problem yet, and im slower than stock at the moment, gotta love my broken 00 IM.

No way will the TL lose, they are rated at 270hp. 270>190.

Just race him, bench racing stinks and different people drive cars differently. An auto vq30 max can't do well against a TL. PERIOD!!!

Even a stock 5-speed would have trouble. It would need to have a few mods done to it to stand a chance. An auto... forget it. Unless you're boosted.

the 99-02? 3.2l style have 225/216, the ones b4 that had a 174hp 2.5 5banger or a 3.2, rated at under 200hp and 210tq , both theyre more of cruisers than races. that and they weight more, and theyre gearings not as aggresive.

that and the 99s and newer are made in the us, BAH! to that.

260hp for the type s, stock vs stock the tls woudl win, but the mods mentioned i believe the max would take it barely.

It's all on the driver. I've raced a CL type S and won. Never judge a race by the cars when they are even relatively close. I got spanked by a SER spec V on the highway because I hesitated a split second. Even though it was bad driving on my part he still won.

I had a TL-S right before I crashed it and got a max. That thing was a whole lot faster than the max I have now.
