Best free mod ever

Best free mod ever
Drilled 6 - 1 1/4" bit holes in front of bottom air box and 3 in the driver's side. Slapped K&N back in and tested it out. Car pulls much harder in 1st and 2nd. Sounds like an intake (at 1/2 to WOT) without the cheesy whistling. Cannot detect any low end loss. Best free mod ever. We also did the mod on my buddy's CL type S, huge difference on that beast.

Not many things you can do to get free power, Hell, I dont know any.
You have to buy parts that perform to the higher power standard to get more power....duh

but anyways, it actually did do more than give a placebo effect. I couldn't spin through first and to second in my automatic before this. It worked for me, I could care less how others claim it hasn't.

My intake is pretty loud as it is. I can't imagine how people can stand to listen to an aftermarket intake on a daily basis.

yeah, just take everything off after the throttle body and put screening like you would on a screen door over the hole. just remember to use the stainless steel mesh rather than the plastic. and if u plan to take ur car to the track, remember to stick the mesh in a bucket of ice right before you run so that it super-cools the air.
Another mod, about 100x cheaper than a super-charger aka belt driven intake, is what i've added to my 'naked throttle body' mod. i went to home depot and bought an electric leaf blower. u kno, one of those 4 hp ones. Let me tell you, it adds WAY more than 4 hp when u strap that baby onto the naked throttle body! u just need an adapter to plug it into the cigarette lighter, or if you're good with electrical stuff, you could hook it up to your battery and use a switch running through the firewall to turn it on and off. hey, it's safer than Nitrous! (and cheaper) Oh yeah, but you might have to cut a hole like i did in my hood to allow the blower to rest on top of the engine. PM me for step-by-step instructions and pics!

its coz when you change your airflow to soehting wider ie holes and hacking, your fuel/air mapping in the ecu hasnt detected the increase in airflow and retarded for economic values
somehting like that
i think thats why almost everyone notices a difference at first and then notice it getting a bit boggy

Anyways, before I hacked mine i picked up a secondary from a junkyard in case.
Never needed to use it yet; however i'm not claiming any HP gains but I definitely did not lose any power, I rather enjoy the sound.

...........................why mess up stock parts just go to one of the sponcers pic up a CAI or what i prefer hybrid intake.. strap it on.. u dont loose any hp... not saying u gain any power either.. but u didnt just F up your stock equipment like an idiot. and it only cost like 170 bux... so next time u go to the stip club dont buy that lap dance and buy a CAI or hybrid in take.. end of story...
