Wtf is this **** about power axle?

I bring the car to the shop to get brakes, pads and brakelines changed. Few hours later they call me in to pick up the car. When i arrived the car is still on the lift so i spin the wheels. The passenger side front wheels is stiff and the drivers side front is loose. I say wtf is this, and the mechanic gives me some **** about "power axle". He tries to convice me that in fwd cars one wheels gets more power than the other. I say bullsh!t im not paying for this and leave the car there. I dont know much about cars but im pretty sure the caliper was too tight and theyre too lazy to fix it. Am i right?

Does this explain why 1 wheels spins stiffer than the other one?

If you don't know that much about cars why are you so quick to jump on the guy?

The way the power is delivered is different between the two wheels due to the length

If i made a mistake then ill apoligize to him, but i figured it was common sense that the wheels should spin at equally. It doesnt make sense that i can spin one wheel with 1 finger and the other one i have to put my whole arm into it.

That does seem a bit odd, as there shouldn't be that much of a difference between the wheels, however you should be able to hear the pads rubbing on the rotor if that is indeed the problem. Go check it out and report back to us

Yeah i dont want to take the car out of the shop until i know that everything is right. Once i leave theyre going ot say the car was like that when they got it.

Oh and i forgot to add, the rear wheels wooble a bit when i spun them while the car was on the lift....is this normal?

if you can physically move the wheel like meaning if you push on top of the tire n the the bottom you'll hear n see a movement, that is not good, meaning that the rotors are not seating properly. when you were trying to spin teh wheel, was the car in N drive (nutrel)? or was the key not even in the car?? if the car is in nuetrel and is hard to spin one side more than the other, i would say that there is soemthing wrong with the brakes.

The car was off and up on the lift. What do you mean push on top of the tire and the bottom?
