Rebuilding the 300zx tt calipers

just wanted to know what is needed to rebuild them. i have all the seals and the hardware but is there anything else i need? anybody mind making a list that has done this before. thanks alot.

DON'T BE LAZY AND LOOK IN A NISSAN REPAIR MANUAL THAT YOU SHOULD HAVE AROUND!!! or so i think.

To those that have rebuilt the 300zx calipers

ok this is for the guys that have the 300zx bbk on their car. when you guys rebuild the calipers did you guys seperate the top from the bottom? the reason i am asking is that i took them apart and i am wondering if there is any seals that go where the fluid hole is. thanks alot

There are seals there, but you cant buy them from Nissan

I found this out the hard way. I lost one and was freaking out cause I couldnt find the seals ANYWHERE. I retraced my steps and found the missing seal.

I had this discussion with Matt Blehm. Basically he didnt know were to get them either. 1. they will need to be the correct size and 2. they will need to be brake fluid safe. Most rubber gaskets arent. The will swell up and deteriorate. Best bet is to head up the stealership with one of the original gaskets and have them try to match it. Other than that

well i have a picture of what parts are in the caliper and i dont see those rubber o-rings but the dude told me that they might be part of a seal kit.

Please just bump your old thread asking the exact same thing.

Anyhoo, you won't be able to buy the seal for the two halves because Nissan says not to seperate them. But I believe I saw a post on where to get seals that can withstand hydraulic fluid. Or you have to dig around twinturbo.net
