ugh... i don't know what else it could be.

pulled code 1008 from ecu.

put that in here http://vbxmaxima.8m.com/ecudecoder.html

says it was "EVAP canister purge volume control valve"

go to stealership say i need that part.. they said it went in back of car on the back of the black box thingy (proper name)

anyway replaced it this morning. then on my way to work the cel light came back on..

any thoughts on what else it could be?

Take it back. It could be the canister itself or something. Evap problems are tough to diagnose. They will take care of you im sure.

they didn't diagnose the car

so i should take the canister off the car and take it back to the stealer? and get them to swap it or what..

i don't feel like paying them 75 bucks to look at the car again,, they pulled this code first time and i pulled it as well.

could it be the hose has a crack? cause i noticed alot of dirt and stuff under there.. and the hose felt pretty bad. but i dunno

ugh.. seems as if it coule be 1 of three things..

all commonly named evap canister

the round thingy under the fstb , the one on back of box in rear of car, and the thing you have to move to get to spark plug 6 (i think its 6)

is this correct?

It could also be your gas cap. If it doesn't hold pressure you'll throw EVAP codes.

either, whichever makes it leak....but i believe that the thread in the car is metal, so it oulwd most likely be the gas cap, IF that was the problem in the 1st place.
