Clearance Light (parking light) Fitment issues

I know this might sound ridiculous, but i was trying to get my clearance lights out to paint them like JSUTTER did cuz i think it looks nice, and i test fitted the first one back in and it doesn't go back under the fender. I had the same problem with the one i replaced b/c of an accident, but i thought it was just cuz my fender's dented. Anyone else have problems like this? how DO you get the light to fit nice and flush?

probably because your fender is dented/ you bought an aftermarket one after it got hit. just bend the fender some more so it stays.

do you know how they come out & go back in?

There is a small "ball socket" that holds it in place and has to be lined up properly before you push it in.

thanks.

try getting a screwdriver on the bottom of the markerbetween the headlight and marker. that should pop it out. you may just have something stuck behind it if it doesnt fit back in
