Hey, sorry I don't have a reply to your request, but I work in Milford on Rt.13. I live in Townsend. We should meet up sometime. I'm always in Milford going through the oval or whatever. I'll be around this weekend. PM me if interested. I'd like to see your car, I know it's not the best time of the year, but something to do.

buddy. will you just drop it already? youve already been told to shut up numerous times because your ignorance is nauseating (thats a big word for it makes me want to vomit)

ask around a little bit and see if anyone has dyno slips with and without CAI.

honestly, how could sucking cooler, more dense air in higher quantities into the engine, drawing more fuel making a richer mixture, not add power?

if you had half a clue you might be able to answer that question yourself. so, here you go:

IT DOES ADD POWER YOU DUMB ****

while a CAI as your only mod may only increase a few horsepower on certain cars, it is designed to also be mated to a freeflowing exhaust system to add even more power....... heres what i got from one of the clowns on there

If talking about Maximas specifically, stock is better. But that doesnt apply to every car

There are dynos on here, someone will post them up

Edit: There is a thread made about intakes almost every day, it shouldnt be hard to find the answer. Simple answer is that you lose a lot of low end power with any intake other than stock

Especially on autos, but I think that CAI's are better with low end power and weak for high end..but there are an infinite amount of theories on intakes, tell your friends the ORG>MySpace.

Link the kid to the intake section in the stickies. I'm sure that will make him feel pretty stupid.

It doesn't say they are all good.
"Some argue that Hybrids are better, some say CAI is the best, and others think that a cheap popcharger is best because it is cheap and lets you spend the rest of your money elsewhere. In general, HAIs are preferred for people wanting good high-end power, while CAIs are more power down low. The trade-off is that each intake, while being stronger in one area of the power band, is weaker in the other. The hybrid is supposed to be the best of both worlds, with better midrange performance." There isn't anything in the faq's comparing stock intakes to aftermarket, but search if you have donated and you will find countless numbers of threads comparing them.

Thats pretty contradictory to what everyone that has a CAI and returns to stock says. They say after they remove the CAI and return back to stock, they feel like the got back alot of throttle response and low end power.

Maybe the info in the stickies needs to be changes so we dont see countless intake threads...
