Alright, i've tried to do my research and i've asked around but haven't been able to get a good solid answer on this. I am buying a Stillen Y pipe. I'm only concerened about power here not making an exhuast system that sounds nice. I am wondering, is it or is it not worth it to buy a b-pipe and high flow cat along with my Y pipe. I'll gladly pay for them if I am going to feel a noticable difference between buying these and just having a stock exhuast system with only the Y pipe. Anyone who has these mods please respond and tell me if you think that it is worth it and if I will notice a difference.

I have a cattman y, RT cat, stillen B, stillen, and stillen rear section. I got the cat because it might help the emissions at cold start, also, its high flow. The bpipe takes out the stock resonator, which will make the car louder. I believe everyone has told me that I have the loudest setup.

Personally, I say go for it, because it is easiest to change every piece at once, instead of separately.

Hope this helps

hey man

I don't have any exhaust system mods yet, but from what I remember (and I have read alot of posts on the subject over the last year and a half or so), the biggest gain is in the Y. If you get the RT and the B, your butt-dyno may tell you you car is faster (and louder), but IIRC, the RT and B should only add 2-5 HP. Like I said, the biggest restriction is in your stock Y-pipe.

Good luck,
Justin

exhaust mods

Hey,how many miles on your current Cat.? 4th gen Max cats are already pretty high flow. If you compare them to a Carsound or RT cat, not a huge difference. Dallas and I talked at the Kansas meet. We soon will be offering a custom rear section that eleiminates the VERY restrictive area behind the cat. You would just crawl under there with a saws all, cut her off and slide on the new piece. We did this last week in Arkansas, and it worked well. Don't expect huge results though. Previous posters are correct, the y-pipe is where the ponies are hidden. We think this replacement piece will be a pretty big seller because it will be reasonable, easy to replace and allow you to run your OE muffler. It should be pretty quiet. E-mail Dallas for more details.

Ok, well i'm not really interested in blowing a few hundred dollars more on something thats not gonna really create a noticable difference. The Y pipe for performance and maybe a Front sturt bar and rear sway bar would be money better spent
