That would solve about 4 unanswered questions I had... The passenger side would be much longer wouldn't it? Because there is the bracket where the cv shaft meets another shaft.

yes, I have ABS so NAPA got something right... SUCKS!!!! I already mangled up my old one, it may be possible to get it driveable again, but not for 100 mile round trip to work and NAPA again. I guess I'll have to chalk this one up to experience. I really should have realized when no one else on the org had the problem I was having. Well thanks for the help guys!

there is a bearing that holds the intermediate shaft

this one is not for a max, but you get the idea

This was my first time dealing with them, I thought I had it under control. Never thought to question NAPA on the axle being the right one or not. I will next time!

the person behind the computer is just a monkey, its not like he/she knows exactly what you are doing, or working with. also they can easily mix up the part #'s and such. i always check the stuff out before leaving. once i went to get rotors for a frontier and they gave me some solid disk 4 lug crap, the part # was one digit off. that same guy tried to sell me a 9004 bulb for the truck too, it takes a 9007. slight differances they never seem to notice.

the outer cv joint (one with the big nut) has a gear on it. the abs sensor in the spinle reads how fast the teeth are moving and calculates speeds of each wheel.

I am in the process of fixing my driver side axle. Where can I get a new C ring that fits on the end? Standard parts store, advance, autozone, carquest...?
