1005 EGRC solenoid valve
Just pulled up this code, after my VI install....sigh...
Im experiencing a drop in idle when stopped in drive or reverse, but not really in nuetral or park. Seams to studer a bit but NOT all the time, but it does everyonce in a while (every other light) drop the idle to about 450~ RPMs and fluctuate 50-100 RPMS above and below. Kewl thing is it is not stalling...yet...
Any helpfull advice as to what i should replace/clean, or look into? I lost my damn chiltons manual so i cant really check that out for a good start.
Anything helps, thanks

I got that same code last year so I changed the EGRC solenoid it never changed the driveability of the car it just got rid of the check engine light. I was just gonna post the same thing about dropping idle my car does exactly the same thing with no codes mine has been doing this for an easy 2 years now. Even today it still has never stalled out I was thinkin about cleaning my IAC to see if that helps, but if that was the case wouldn't stutter all the time.

Aight, well this all happened after i installed my VI so i might have not pluged this thing back in all the way after i put everything back together..
I checked it today, and realized that the harness is a little messed up. The plug clicked in place, but it was not plugged in all the way. CEL hasnt come back up but i just fixed it about 50 miles ago...
As for your drop in idle, start out with the normal stuff like TB, IACV, clean out your EGR guide tube (that helped me out alot when i did this). If it is still happening start replacing vacum lines, you might have a vacume leak...
