94-97 Accord bodykit conversion for Maxima
#1
I was told I can find someone here who has done the bodykit conversion for Accord => Maxima. I've heard many say that 94-97 accord bodykits will fit the 4th gen Maxima with some modification. They do look similar but are the dimensions same for front, side, rear. How possible is this? If anyone has info please post. Info, not oppinions. I've got enough of thoses and they don't do me any good since I can't buy and return bodykits. Just tierd of seeing the same ol' stillen aerokit (no offence guys, they do look good), and my god is the erebruni one ugly...

I think the '94-97 Accord maybe too small. I've been looking into using a bodykit from a '98-00 Accord since they seem to be more similar in size to the Maxima. It's not going to be cheap though, even 1-2" off anywhere means a lot of custom work. And the front bumper is going to be very hard to do. You're either going to have to cut off part of the maxima or cut off part of the body kit and mold it on. My friend who does custom body work doesn't even want to attempt this on my car.

Hey Klubjunkee finally found the guy who had the accord kit molded onto his max. Here is a link to his pic:

A lot. The whole body kit itself is around $800. The front bumper has to be molded into the factory fenders. It also has to be custom cut, reworked, remolded, etc. Custom mounting points have to be made, the part around the headlight has to be redone. This is just for the front bumper. The sideskirts would have to be cut down or extended depending on fit, the back bumper would have to be worked the same way the front bumper is. Unless you're best friends with a body shop owner, it's gonna cost. You're looking at $2K+ for just fitting the kit and painting it and that's a good deal. Add the kit in there and it's $2800+ for the whole thing. It ain't cheap. Think about this, my Sarona kit took 2 guys 1 whole day to fit to my car and that's a kit meant for the Maxima. Add in the time it took to paint, and it would have been $1200 in labor and paint just for the Sarona kit. That's not even a custom kit.
