Check engine light
#4
If you don't have one I suggest you go to AutoZone or PepBoys and get the Haynes repair guide for your car. It will show you with pictures how to pull the codes for your car and diagnose your problem. Once you know whats wrong you can decide if you want to try and fix it or take it to your mechanic. I think they cost about $20 bucks from Auto Zone.

And they will also take your hard earned money and **** virginity while they are at it too. Just take it to autozone, they will diagnose the problem for ya. Then you can decide what you want to do.

Check it yourself... Use the sticky that states what should be done, and if you do go to AutoZone to get it read, buy a Haynes while you're there.
