I was wondering if 3200 rpm on 95 GXE standard, at 120 km/hr is normal for this car, seemed to high when I was test driving the car.

 

i believe it could reach 130 to 140 km/h with 3000rpm.

 

by standard, i'm assuming you mean the manual 5sp transmission. 120km/h translates to about 74.5mph, at which my 5sp Maxima is turning around around 3200-3400rpm as well. so it seems normal. i think my old auto would turn about 2700-2900rpm around that speed.

in fifth gear? that sounds a little high, about 500 too high.

 

I run about 3300 rpm at an indicated 80 mph in 5th gear with my 5 speed max.

 

I am at about 3300-3500 at 80 mph in my 5-speed. . . About 3K at 70 mph. So this does seem normal.

 

I go 86 @ 3K RPM exactly and my car is 99 auto.
