Car's rpms rev up ever time I accelerate...

It's pretty wierd, I've never experienced anything like this on any of my cars. Just like the title says, when ever I try to gain speed to get out of tight spots or just trying to get on the highway, my rpms jump up then come down to the specific rpm. It's really annoying because I don't start gaining speed until after the rpms jump and come back down. So there is a second or two of lag before I start accelerating.

FYI I do have a CEL light for my rear 02 sensor but I don't think that would be the problem for the engine to do this.

If there is anybody that could give me any suggestions to what this might be, please reply...

Thanks

...and you're correct, the rear o2 sensor CEL will not cause this problem.

Do not replace with the stock Nissan Clutch. POS. I did when I bought the car before finding the .org and the thing engages like crap and is junk.

5th gen clutch is pretty good, thats what i have. if you get the 5th gen clutch though, stay away from the key value clutches; key value = garbage.

also ive heard good things about the ACT stage 1 clutch, but i can only speak from experience about the 5th gen.

i wouldnt floor it very often until you get a new clutch...your gonna want to baby this clutch so that it lasts long enough for you to get a new clutch

stock clutches are work well.....the org has had many stories of act's messing up transmissions. just go stock 5th gen or even stock 4th gen clutches, they are great clutches

anyone who says the OEM nissan clutch is garbage either didnt break in their clutch, cant drive properly, or got a key value instead of an OEM. There is nothing wrong with the OEM clutches, the provide more than enough grip needed for an n/a max. all those aftermarket clutches are overkill and a waste of money unless you are boosted.
