Brake Caliper Repair

Hi, could some kind expert please point me to where I can find an FAQ on replacing brake calipers? I looked in the stickies but couldn't find anything. The one big question I have is how to detach and reattach the brake hose from the caliper. I also wanted to know how to readjust the parking brake cable and if it's necessary. Thanks!

there is a banjo nut on the caliper....take it off and then u will have to copper washers...those need to be replaced u should get new ones with new calipers...its a regular hex head bolt 12mm maybe i dont remember....then dont forget to bleed the brakes....its not completely necessary to do both sides but stringly recommennded

No need to readjust the parking brake. When you swap in the new caliper, top off the brake reservoir and put the cap on. Also do the swap quickly so the fuild in the brake reservoir does not run dry.

There are lil rubber plugs that you can buy made specifically for pluggin up the brake-line while workin. I always thought they were cheezy.
