Bose Hu Switch Still Doesn't Work!!
Bose Hu Switch Still Doesn't Work!!
right now i am switching out my bose headunit for a JVC Head UNIT
every thing works but there is no Sound
I connected the Wires as instructed With one part of confusion.
Should I connect the Speakers to the high or low level on the PAC_NIS2
the PAC said that the speekers should be low level for speaker up to 25 X 4 but my Headunit JVC KD-DV5100 is 50 X 4
I Had It on the BOTH levels and it didn't work.
Some People has actuall tried to help( thanks to all of you guys) and said the problem comes from adjusting the four screws on the PAC but it still didn't work
.
this is Getting on my nerves
What on earth is the problem?
Please tell me if you have any thoughts on the matter as soon as possible .
Thanks

yes you can. all you need is http://www.crutchfield.com/S-SPSJglH...sp?i=142C4NN03 or a similar device like the orginal poster was using PAC NIS2

there could be a number of problems here. the stock Bose HU is just a pre amp. the stock Bose speakers have their own amps. the amps get 12 volts power else where and have a relay in the passangers kick panel. you should hear a click when you turn on the HU. the click is the relay working and sending power to the 4 amps.
you dont have to use a line level converter, but then the radio will always be loud since the internal amps are then re amped buy the stock amps. i ran without one for a week or so, and i couldnt turn the volume past 7. The pac is acctually a very crappy converter. the peripheral is a better piece.
the new HU has speaker outs (regular wires) which connect to the line level IN on the converter. the bose speakers will get connected to line out with the regular wires, not the RCA's (if your PAC has them).
make sure the antenna is plugged in that thing messes with grounds. check the grounds to the converter if it has one.
make sure your fuses are good, and check for power with a tester/ meter. may as well check behind the radio and at the amps.
the remote turn on must be connected or the factory amps wont turn on. you will get no sound, not even a hiss.
