Strut Bar Installation

I read the installation directions in "how to's" but have one question. When unbolting the 3 bolts that hold in the struts do i need to do anything else? I ask because sine it holds in the struts and the struts are under tension would i need to do anything additional? thanks for help.

Nope unscrew them and put it in place and put the bolts back on and torque to specs

there was some talk about having the front unloaded when you install the bar (ie: off the ground) but that doesn't really make sense because wouldn't you want the bar to be tensioned the way it would be when it is driving? so yeah, mxrider is right. it is just a matter of loosening and tighten a few nuts to spec.

You wouldn't happen to know the tightening spec would you? I put my strut bar on a while ago and just cranked them down, didn't even think about torque spec...

you want your car on the ground when you do this. DO NOT have it on jacks or up in the air

29-40 lb/ft, according to my fsm. Don't over-do it, I've seen them snap before.
