driver side window got shattered. jacked my premier 740mp deck face and about 200 cds. 730 in the morning on a busy main street. argh..

anyone know how much it will cost to replace the window? or at least whats a good price compared to a rip off price. thanks

 

That sucks man, mine got broken into and I got it replaced in under 30 minutes and under $70. There's a place in Chicago (even though that doesn't help you) called Aaron's Auto glass. Sorry to hear. I would try junk yards that sell replacement windows, they tend to be cheaper there. I usually go to the yards in downtown LA. But since I live by Slymar (n.valley) now, there's a ton of them closer to me. BTW, off-topic question, did you apply the lamin-x outside or inside the fog lenses?

 

70-130 bucks to replace the window.. i paid 80 bucks for mine..

 

Try the junkyards like stated...you should be able to get one for 60-80 bucks tops. Good luck.

well i am in canada and i got my window replaced in my cavalier z24 for around $100 if i remember correctly. i think it was used glass

 

Same thing happened to me last week, someone decided to go Christmas shopping in my car. They smashed my left rear window (the main one, not the little one). It cost me $178 to have it installed, and that was the lowest quote I could find here. They stole my book bag, which had a bunch of college textbooks and notebooks in it. Somehow I don't imagine the guy(s) who did this to be the type to be reading up on thermodynamics. Fortunetly my head unit and stuff weren't touched.

 

i applied the lamin x outside the fog housing.. that was about 8 months ago. there is a little burn spot turning up right in front of the bulb. i think the adhesive is starting to burn. im using stock bulbs.
