Got in accident, how much damage do you think?

I was in a mall parking lot on boxing day and i was driving down a lane with a yellow centre line. this guy came from between parked cars, crossed one lane and crossed the yellow line and hit my front of my car.

I was just wondering how much damage you guys think there is, there is no rad damage or headlight damage. just front bumper and grill

here is a pic

thats what i was thinking but i would need to buy headlights and grill as well. also i might do it without insurance since the guy says he will be booted off his insurance.

also i think if you just take the money and fix the car you have to show receipts that it is an oem bumper or insurance will not cover that car

alls u have to do is go to a body shop and get an estimate done. Then u fax a copy to his insurance (or just to him) and then u take that money and buy a 97 bumper and grille. If grille isnt already cracked crack it B4 u go to get the estimate

**** what his problems are with his insurance, he did it now he has to pay for it.

That's my opinion, anyway. If he's nice, and will pay what you get an estimate for, I'd give him a break, only if he hadn't pulled some dumbass stunt changing lanes and wasn't a total ****. Otherwise, insurance it up.

Dont want to sound mean hearted but tough luck for him. If he knew one more accident would get him booted off his insurance, then he should have been more careful. If he has only one more strike till he's booted then, that happened for a reason. Now he needs to be off the road, or have higher insurance till he learns not to keep hitting other peoples car(s).

Go thru insurance and get your money to get the car fixed. People say just about anything to keep insurance out of an accident. My brother Did the same thing, they said they'd get in so much trouble. . . blah blah blah. . . I'll pay you to get it fixed. He got their number, and later they just refused to pay. He could do the same to you if you take the path of avoiding insurance. A week later or even a few days later, he can just say, I'm not going to pay or what ever excuse he comes up with to delay the repairs, and you have to wait. By now or in a few days its almost too late to get a police report so you can get this documented and get insurance into it.

If you want to get your car repaired anytime soon, or period. Get the insurance involed. Otherwise whats to stop him from deciding not to pay later down the line?

Is there any damage to his car? If there isnt and just to yours. . . DEFINATELY get insurance involed. . . dont play the fool.

i agree. don't do what is necessarily in his best interest. why should you have to look out for him? he made the mistake and there are consequences. especially if he has a record on his insurance, he obviously isn't learning from his mistakes. go for the conversion.
