new small mod-used another nissan trunk pop button in different location

before, i had a push button from sears as my power trunk pop. i installed the mechanism into my gxe and put it on the dashboard next to the dimmer switch. however, i had been in a 2003/4 sentra and saw the button and figured why not. so thanks to someone here on the org, he picked one up for me at a junkyard and walla. i also removed the pull/push lever on the ground because i added power i30 gas lid pop.(button also seen on dash)
OLD (pre-i30 dashboard install and cd player/everything change)

NEW

and for those of you wondering where my alarm light is, i have an aftermarket alarm and i moved the blinking led to my upper dashboard between the defrost vents so it's more visible.

Cool you gotta like the little details! but wouldn't it have been better to put it on the left side of the steering column say to switch with the cruise control that way if you want pop the trunk you don't have to climb all the way in the car? Just my 2cents

Swap the cc switch with the trunk release switch. That way you can hit either the gas door release or the trunk release switch from outside the car. That way you don't have to climb back into your car, then out, and run the risk of getting static shocked and also risk fire while refueling your car. Just a thought.

my gxe didn't have power trunk therefore no spot on the door...

i put it there just as a security measure not that my car is ever left with windows down or unlocked, but it's not hard for me to reach in, or use my keyless entry trunk pop so i like that location. i didn't want it completely in the open next to the window (not that i have a system or anything valuable in the trunk, but still prefer it not in direct reach).
