SOME are like that, not all....
If not, you can buy a kit from courtesynissan or pinnaclenissan.com

my95 GLE had the wiring, so i dont see y not ...i would think that maybe the GXE doesnt have it bc its the bare bones maxima, but GLE's should......

to be sure, look under ure bumper where the fog lights would be and you should see a light bulb harness tied to something by liek duct tape

whats the difference between the 97-99 fogs and the 95-96 fogs? I found these on ebay and i am thinking of buying them. i have the GLE so i assume i have the wiring and all, the holes just arent drilled.

95-6 and 97-9 had different bumper designs. the fogs on the 97-9 look much more aggressive than their older counterparts. im sure they are mechanically the same jus aesthetically different

97-99 fogs and 95-96 fogs are NOT interchangeable....

all you need is...
1. a switch for the fogs/or a new headlight stalk with fogs on it
2. the brackets for the fogs.
3. the bolts for the fogs
4.the fog housings
5.bulbs

that is all

all 4th gens have the harnesses from the factory... GXE and GLE

wait....you also have to have a relay if you use a factory stalk to control them....
OR
if you rig up your your own pos. and ground wires and a generic switch to control them you dont need a relay

(someone correct me if Im wrong)

i have a 95 gxe and mine came pre-wired. i would recomend getting the bumper cut by a proffesional as mine came out kinda crappy.

if you use the factory switch from an SE with the fog switch on it you have to have a relay to turn them on at all...

if you run a positve and ground wire yourself(not using factory wires) you can hook up an on/off switch and turn them one without using a relay

its much easier to just get a relay tho...ooo so gxes do come pre wired...my bad..but also i had to learn this the hard way... i got a headlight switch for my 95 from a 96 and it didnt fit, bc the harnesses were different...so just to be safe, make sure u get a switch from ure exact year, which would be 96

You might have the wiring but you will have to install your own switch inside the car as the switch that is built into the signal stalk, for foglight equipped maximas, will not be there. Just pull one of the plastic shields down there and see for yourself.

INCORRECT

my 95 gxe did not come with the wiring harnesses. it had some wiring that stopped at a random harness near the battery, but no actual harnesses to plug into the fogs so i had to custom do it. (i got the harnesses from a junkyard and created the rest of the wiring myself.

I heard that GXE with the Security & Convenience package is prewired for fog.
